Founded in 2010 in Izmir, Batuhan Şimşekel Architecture sees architecture not only as producing structures, but also as a holistic design practice that deals with the character of the place, the way of life of man, material, technology and the relationship he establishes with time. Housing, villa, commercial area, cafe, factory, hospital and museum projects carried out in different geographies and at different scales are a reflection of the belief that each building can gain a unique identity based on its own context. Context, climate, topography, light, material and usage habits are not only the initial data of the design, but also the basic components that form the character of the project. Design is an effort to establish a consistent relationship from the small detail to the whole structure. Architecture and application are not seen as disconnected processes. While technological developments are followed, sustainability, longevity and functionality are considered as integral parts of design. The aim is to reveal spaces that protect their value over time, contribute to the environment and establish a strong relationship with their users. Each project is handled in its own terms; instead of repeating ready-made patterns, an architectural language specific to the place and need is developed. Batuhan Şimşekel Architecture, which has developed by adapting to the changing technology, lifestyles and architectural understanding since 2010, considers all the research, detailing and application stages of the design as parts of the same whole. The basis of this approach is the search for originality, quality, detail and producing lasting value. For us, every project is not only a completed structure, but a permanent trail left to its location, the user and the future.
